This policy covers the vocaflare.com website and purchases made on it. Our mobile apps, VocaFlare AI and VocaFlare Offline, have their own privacy policies. If you came here from an app, please open the Legal page (/legal), where every policy is listed. We keep this page short and collect as little as we can.

What this policy covers

vocaflare.com is the studio site of VocaFlare, a Judgeson Studio product. It offers free language-learning tools such as word lists, level tests, vocabulary from TV series, exam word lists and a blog. It also sells one-time digital purchases, such as license keys.

You do not need an account to use the website.

What we collect

• Usage data through Google Analytics: pages you visit, buttons you click, device and browser type, approximate location based on your IP address, and the page that sent you here.
• Your email address, only if you choose to give it, for example in a waitlist or product interest form, or in the TV series request box (email is optional there).
• Emails you send to [email protected].
• Purchase details when you buy on the website: name, email, country, order details and license key status.
• Server and security logs: IP address, browser and the page requested.

How we use it

Emails from forms are kept in a spreadsheet and used only for the purpose you gave them for. There is no advertising on the website.

• To understand which pages and tools are useful and improve the site.
• To tell you about the product you signed up for, or to reply to your request or email.
• To deliver your purchase, manage your license key and help with support.
• To keep the site running and protect it from abuse.
• To show content that fits your country. We look up your country from your IP address for this and do not store the result.

Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits and understand how the site is used. We also save your preferences, such as theme and language, in cookies or local storage on your device. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but your preferences may be forgotten.

YouTube clips

Word pages show short clips through the official YouTube player. When a clip loads, YouTube and Google may set cookies and receive your IP address and device information. This is handled under Google's privacy policy, not ours.

Web purchases

Purchases on the website are processed by our payment partner, which acts as the Merchant of Record. It handles payment and taxes. We receive your name, email, country, order details and license key status. We never see your card details.

Who else processes your data

We do not sell your personal data.

• Google, for Google Analytics and YouTube clips.
• Our payment partner, for web purchases.
• Our hosting and network provider, which keeps server and security logs.

How long we keep it

• Server and security logs are kept for a short time only.
• Form emails are kept until the product launches or your request is answered, or until you ask us to delete them.
• Purchase records are kept as long as needed for your license, support and legal duties.

Where your data is processed

Your data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email [email protected] and we will reply as soon as we can.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
